All Things: Confusing?

Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.”

John 9:41 (NKJV)

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.

John 15:22 (NKJV)

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Romans 12:2 (ESV)

God is not the author of confusion, but of peace…

1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV)

When I was broken and humbled enough to realize my insufficiency, I committed my life to Jesus Christ. At 51, I was later than most, so I worked hard to make up for lost time.

I dove in the Word. I studied and prayed. I questioned and learned… but major Christian “hate fests” confused me, including the one against abortion.

In my younger years, I didn’t choose it... but I wouldn’t condemn women who did, and I never will.

WHY?

  1. Jesus didn’t come to condemn the world. (See John 3:17). Plus, God is clear that we’re NOT called to judge. (We can’t fathom hearts or circumstances.)

  2. He gives ALL people the freedom to choose. ‘Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master, he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand’ (Romans 14:4).

  3. We’re cast in the roles of ambassadors: loving and kind messengers with Good News… that others (like me) may turn to the Truth.

  4. The Holy Spirit is the best Teacher. When we ask Him into our seeking hearts, our minds are renewed. (See Romans 12:2.)

  5. I believe full knowledge of right and wrong, as our Perfect Father sees and decrees, comes only in commitment to Jesus.

  6. Why would outsiders commit to Jesus, when hateful Christians misrepresent Him? Wayward sheep need to hear the Shepherd’s Voice.

  7. Aborted babies will go to Heaven. Shouldn’t we extend the love of the Lord, so their moms and dads want to go there, too?

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

You are a bridge the Lord is constructing: a light, bright, and talented assembly, His Own Good News extension to the world.

When outsiders are intrigued by your acts, when they follow the path you’re extending, they'll meet your Savior at the topmost point.

Because above the dark and stormy clouds, confusion must flee the touch of the Sun. He enlightens our hearts, minds, and choices.

This is the bright standard you're called to lift. The Lord will be glorified in all things, even confusing and difficult things.

All Things: Confusing? (Part 4)

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
