Ambassadors For Christ: Your Testimony

(Preceding these verses in Daniel 4,
King Nebuchadnezzar describes his utter humiliation
and years of madness living as a beast in the wild.)

At the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him Who lives forever:
For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation.

All the inhabitants of the Earth are reputed as nothing;
He does according to His will in the army of heaven,
And among the inhabitants of the Earth.
No one can restrain His Hand,
Or say to Him, “What have You done?”

At the same time, my reason returned to me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and splendor returned to me. My counselors and nobles resorted to me, I was restored to my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added to me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of Whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride, He is able to put down.

Daniel 4:34-37 (NKJV)

Before Jesus, King Nebuchadnezzar (and after Jesus, the Apostle Paul)… gave revelatory testimonies. Their stories have inspired countless people.

Consider 3 ways:

  • They warn about the dangers of pride.

  • They give hope to the people who feel lost.

  • They glorify the Lord of salvation…

  • To show us that no one is too far gone,

  • Or beyond redemption and renewal.

King Nebuchadnezzar, Earth’s greatest king, was pumped up with power and possessions. Through Daniel, he came to believe in God. Over time, he forgot God, went mad, and lived like an animal for seven years--until he “woke up” and God restored him.

Paul, the zealous Christian persecutor, fully believed in his own righteousness. He was pumped up with rules and traditions. On the road to Damascus, he met Christ. Paul lost everything he ever valued… to gain everything he ever needed– in one Man: Jesus!

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

DO SHARE your personal testimony! If you have an overcoming story, share the challenges of your suffering… and the miracle of your renewal. Share your mistakes and share God’s forgiveness.

'Declare His deeds among the peoples' (Isaiah 12:4); 'Talk of all His wondrous works!' (1 Chronicles 16:9)--and make it personal.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
