At Home In Heaven: Where Heaven Is
In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right Hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 16:11 (NKJV)
Where can we find Heaven and what’s it like?
It’s where the Father, Son, and Spirit live.
It's a place of incomparable joy.
Every Christian is dying to get there, but that death isn’t about our bodies.
Surely, children of God hope and believe… when we leave our transient homes on Earth, our real-life home in Heaven is waiting.
In the Jewish Exodus from Egypt, God gave Moses plans for a sacred tent, a Tabernacle, where He would meet them. Only Moses, Joshua, and high priests could commune directly with Jehovah. They became His children’s intercessors.
Later, Solomon built a grand temple–with the plans His father, David, gave him. But at its glorious dedication, Solomon saw its inadequacy.
'Will God indeed dwell on the Earth? Behold, heaven and the Heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built!' (1 Kings 8:27).
In the centuries that followed, it would be robbed and ransacked, ruined and rebuilt. It was razed to the ground after Jesus.
But today, on the ancient Temple Mount, stands the Dome of the Rock: a sacred shrine of the Muslim people.
Sidebar:
This specific phrase, “the House of the Lord” is used 211 times in the Old Testament,* but, notably, not once in the New. Because when God’s Son came to live with us, Heaven came to Earth.
John the Baptist announced it publicly:
'Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!’ (Matthew 3:2).
So where is Heaven?
Neither Heaven nor God can be contained in a geographical boundary, because the Almighty God can’t be bound.
(At least, not ever again. Because once…)
God allowed His Perfect Son to be bound. Limitless Love was put in a Body and volunteered to be nailed on a Cross. The consequence? An explosion of love that forever changed life as we knew it.
Heaven burst forth, inviting us to come! Its Location is spelled in five letters: J-E-S-U-S.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings. This series is a re-write of a prior 2014 series.
