12 Steps To Heaven: #3, Speak Truth

Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle?
Who may dwell in Your holy hill?

He who walks uprightly,
And works righteousness,
And speaks the truth in his heart;

Psalm 15:1-2 (NKJV)

The spiritual affiliation of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit forms a holy Trinity. They are ONE.

  • Our Father is the 'God of truth' (Deuteronomy 32:4).

  • His Son is ‘The Way, the Truth, and the Life' (John 14:6).

  • The Holy Ghost is ‘The Spirit of Truth’ (John 15:26).

In Them, Truth unites, reveals, and SUCCEEDS. No one reaches Heaven without their Truth.

Therefore, God's elect must speak in truth, too.* It's a crucial step on the narrow path that leads to Heaven on Earth and beyond!

  • Think of the truth like 3rd base in baseball. Players can't skip it or move around it. They have to walk on that base to get home.

  • Think of the truth like an excellent script. Actors can’t ad-lib or rearrange it. They must practice it to get the part.

  • Think of the truth like global GPS. Christians can’t navigate Earth without it. They need it to hold God’s course and stay safe.

  • We're now in the ninth inning of the game.

  • We're now in the final act of the show.

  • We're now in a time and place of darkness:

  • 'For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you' (Isaiah 60:2).

If God Almighty is the Truth (He is), then Amighty Truth will rise upon you. In a nation where liars run rampant, your truthful performance (on stage and off) will—at first glance—seem to glorify you. But…

Soon, fans will see the Source of your glory.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ: Consider the scope...

  • “White” lies, half-truths, secrets, cunning, gossip, flattery, evasion, embellishment, misrepresentation, and false witness are Satan’s devices to hide the truth.

  • Even popular, sweet-talking preachers can spin the truth and wrongly divide the Word, leading lambs away from Jesus.**

So don't try out for the opposing team. They may seem to be winning, but they’re not. 

When THIS world series is all said and done, the Captain of Salvation’s truthful team… will come out on top!
