The Armor Of God: Mercy & Forgiveness

Be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Luke 6:36-37 (NKJV)

He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6:8 (NKJV)

Mercy and forgiveness are disarming.

  • When villains predict retaliation,

  • When assailants await retribution,

  • When bullies shout hateful obscenities,

  • When guns are fired, and daggers penetrate,

  • When normal people make harmful mistakes,

  • When pent-up anger suddenly explodes…

Mercy and forgiveness aren’t expected. Criminals are dumbstruck. What’s happening? God is happening, and Jesus Christ lives! Hopeless sinners may become hopeful saints!

Here’s the big challenge:

  • When victims recover physically, (or if they’re permanently disabled),

  • Either with life-restricting injuries, or emotional scars (PTSD),

  • And these sufferers dream of taking vengeance, (or loved ones want to do it for them)…

Mercy and forgiveness seem ludicrous. Unwarranted. Everybody thinks so. EXCEPT GOD… in the Form of Jesus Christ. He forgives us, so we must forgive them!

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Be unexpectedly compassionate… no matter what harm seems to knock you down. Soon, you’ll rise again– higher than before. God will right all wrongs (better than you can).

WARNING: If you avenge yourself, you preempt God
(and nothing good can ever come of that).

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If anything I write is on point and agrees with His Word, it’s not from me. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
