Rejection: Jealousy’s Role
But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peaceably to him... And his brothers said to him, 'Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?' So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words.
Genesis 37:4, 8 (NKJV)
You shall not covet...
Exodus 20:17 (NKJV)
For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.

Mark 15:10 (NKJV)
Actors, models, and talent for Christ: Have you faced envy? If not, expect it, but be encouraged! You're in good company– including Joseph, David, and Jesus.
Joseph faced the envy of his brothers, who devised a terribly evil plot. So he became a slave and a convict, who was locked up in an Egyptian jail.
Young David faced the envy of King Saul, who craved to have his popularity. So he became a hunted fugitive, who wound up on the run for many years.
Jesus faced envy from Jewish leaders, who feared a threat to their authority. So He became a mocked and scorned Captive, Who ended up nailed to a Roman cross.
Note the word 'up' in each of these cases. God turned tragedies into triumphs, lifting each hero to world-changing heights!
Remember Christ’s Words to Nicodemus:
'As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up... For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life' (John 3:14,16).
Remember Joseph’s Words to his brothers:
'You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive' (Genesis 50:20).

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s not from me. It’s God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings. This series is a rewrite of a prior 2014 series.
